November Minneapolis House Show

Image 11-6-19 at 8.07 PM.jpg

Hello All!

Winter is for coming together in warmth and song. We invite you to enjoy some special acoustic music from near and far.

  • Burnt Mountain: Gentle country someplace pickin’ on the road from Abemarle County, Virginia. Marina Madden, Marina Madden, & Leah Ruth bring original songs and covers of sweet friends ripe with harmonies & homeplace appreciation.

  • Jennifer Wood: Jennifer Vena Woods is a singer-songwriter who grew up singing Pete Seeger and Joan Baez and traveled Europe as a busker. Later she led the Hogtown Stompers bringing jug-band music to the bars, festivals, and weddings of SW Wisconsin and nearby parts of Iowa. Today she lives in Powderhorn MPLS where (after a long fallow period) she writes earnest, multi-part circle songs--occasionally reaching into other vernaculars as the song requires. Lifting voices and spirits with music and good company, in the richest of folk tradition.

  • Bad Posture Club: Maren & Morgan craft original music and reinterpret traditional folk songs. Before relocating to the Twin Cities, they grew up in the Pacific Northwest and have been playing music together since in 2013. With voices, banjo, and guitar, they invite intimacy and togetherness in song.

  • Formerly Shy Kids is a winter-catharsis band and only plays in their own living room.

Come at 7 to hang/get cozy, music begins at 7:30.

Please send us an email / message if you’d like the address!

Feel free to bring a beverage, a pillow/blanket (we will have some too) & if ya can, some dollars for to keep the touring act fed out there on the road!
